Joel Embiid came so close to hitting the greatest buzzer-beater ever and NBA fans were in awe

Devin Booker and the Phoenix Suns went in to Philadelphia on Wednesday night and got a big 116-113 victory over the Sixers.

The Suns improved to 42-16 with the victory and are still the No. 1 team in the Western Conference.

But man, this one came so close to going to overtime thanks to what would have been the greatest buzzer-beater ever if it had gone in.

Sixers big man Joel Embiid got a rebound on a missed free throw in the final second and quickly fired a one-handed shot from beyond the Sixers’ free thrown line. This ball was on line the whole way and even went halfway down the hoop before bouncing out and giving the Suns the win.

I mean, come on! That was so close and would have been amazing if it went in.
