Joel Dommett reveals huge Masked Dancer surprise could be in store tonight

Fans of The Masked Dancer will be in a whirl of excitement following a hint that the identity of a big celebrity on the show could be revealed tonight.

Joel Dommett, who co-hosts the current ITV competition which sees stars perform in quirky disguise while a panel tries to unmask them, let slip some show news during an interview on breakfast show Lorraine on Monday morning.

Whetting viewers' appetites, he said that one of the celebrities taking part is someone he "never believed" would do it.

Talking about The Masked Dancer on Lorraine, he was asked by Cat Deeley - who was standing in for Lorraine Kelly - about the rumour that the show has one celebrity whose identity has amazed everybody involved, reports The Mirror.

And Dommett answered: "There was one in particular, that I genuinely... for me, it was the biggest reaction I gave when I was told it was them."

He added: "I just could not believe that they had done the show. I just didn't even think that they would do it.

"And when they told me I was like 'whaaaat!' I just couldn't believe it. It's mad."

He said viewers will learn the mystery star's identity "very soon" and when he was asked how soon he replied: "Potentially tonight..." before trailing off.

The Masked Singer will be back on screen at 7.30pm this Monday night, May 31.

So far singer Louise Redknapp and Diversity star Jordan Banjo have been unmasked on the show with Squirrel, Carwash, Beagle, Frog and Rubber Chicken yet to be revealed.
