(Picture: PA)Joel Dommett has told how his “worst fear” was realised after watching helplessly as a burglar ransacking their home.
The comedian, 36, and his model wife, 30, saw the crime unfold from a security camera as the thief rummaged through thousands of pounds worth of shoes and handbags at their new house in Surrey.
In a stand-up show in London on Wednesday, seen by The Sun, Dommett recalled how police were forced to use a taser on the burglar when he tried to flee.
The couple purchased the property soon after they tied the knot on a beach in Greece in 2019.
“We got burgled fairly shortly after we moved in. It was mad,” he said.
“It is everyone’s worst fear and it was horrible. We saw on our CCTV camera this guy in our garden, and luckily me and her weren’t in the house, but we saw it and rang the police and drove home.
“It was mad as we saw on the cameras the police arrive and we weren’t sure if the guy had left.”
The Masked Singer host has opened up about personal experiences in the past.
In his latest stand-up, he told how an intruder smashed a French window to enter the house and was inside for 15 minutes before police arrived.
The burglar was arrested and sentenced to four years in prison.
Dommett added: “Clearly the police don’t catch people very often as they were so excited about it. We came through the door traumatised and the police were there saying, ‘oh, we got him’.
“Me and Hannah were crying.”
The comedian opened up about his ordeal during a performance at a work-in-progress stand-up show at 2Northdown in Islington.
It comes ahead of his October tour titled Unapologetic (If That’s Okay?).

The couple married in a romantic beach ceremony on the Greek island of Mykonos in September, 2019.
The presenter is also known for his roles in Live in Chelsea, Impractical Jokers UK, Joel and Nich vs The World and I’m a Celebrity, where he revealed his Ant and Dec tattoos.
