Joel Dommett was late to his Lorraine interview with Ranvir Singh, and was set to totally miss it until Andi Peters dialled him on air.
Andi was presenting the competition segment from his shed, and Ranvir asked if he could give no-show Joel a call.
He did so, and an awkward Joel answered the phone, and Andi confronted him on why he was answering the phone, but had not turned up to his Lorraine interview.
"I thought it was later than this," replied Joel, who then frantically dialled in to speak to Ranvir, who is covering for Lorraine Kelly.
And in his haste, Joel did not have enough time to put any clothes on, though Ranvir remarked she was not complaining.
Ranvir said: "It would be lovely if Joel Dommett came on the show, we are supposed to be asking him about The Masked Singer this morning and he is not answering his phone!
"Answer your phone, Joel Dommett, if you know him, give him a knock on the door, give him a nudge, wake him up and say you've got to come on Lorraine, come on mate, we've only got half an hour left."
And as Ranvir cut to Andi, he had his phone out and was dialling Joel.
Ranvir ranted: "If he answers your phone I'm going to kick off, honestly we've been trying to ring him for half an hour."
And Joel did answer, as Andi told him: "Joel, you're live on ITV, Joel, please do not swear."
"Well this is very exciting isn't it?" replied Joel.
Andi scolded him: "Joel, you're mean to be on Lorraine this morning, have you forgotten?"
"I thought it was later than this!" replied Joel, before hastily signing off and calling in to the show.
"Unbelievable!" fumed Ranvir.
One viewer tweeted: "Joel Dommett doing a video call half naked because he forgot he was supposed to be on @lorraine is 2020 in a nutshell Brilliant tv @andipeters is clearly the man who people answer a call to."
Another gushed: "Thanks #lorraine Joel topless at 09:35 in the morning has made my day!! #joeldommett ".
