Joel Dommett makes cheeky comment to Adam Thomas as his ITV This Morning debut features 'dream' moment

Joel Dommett couldn't help but have a cheeky response to his former I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here campmate Adam Thomas as the latter supported his latest TV gig. The presenter and comedian has been drafted in as This Morning's latest host.

It was an all-female takeover at the start of the week as Holly Willoughby was joined by Alison Hammond after she confirmed that Phillip Schofield was "taking the week off". And after two fun-filled, and often chaotic, days together, Alison has had to step back from hosting duties until Friday (March 31) and was replaced by Joel.

The Masked Singer host will also be back on the show on Thursday (March 30) but his This Morning 'dream' had already come true on his first stint as co-host on the hit ITV daytime show.

In a clip shared to This Morning's Instagram page, Joel and Holly could be seen during the show alongside Dr Nighat Arif who was on hand to chat through the latest health headlines. Among the topics being discussed was reported of a nasal spray which could treat erectile dysfunction in five minutes.

As Holly read out the development, the 42-year-old added: "Speedy," as Joel joked: "Where is that in my notes?" While Dr Nighat confirmed it's not available yet, and Holly instructed Joel to 'stand down', the TV star then quipped: "Make sure I don't get that mixed up with my hay fever one," with prompted laughter.

Joel then soon said: "This is the dream. This is what I wanted when I'm presenting This Morning." He added: "This is what I wanted. I wanted someone to say 'penis' within the first hour." As they laughed, Holly said: "And you've got it, you've got it. Well done!"

Joel was drafted in to replace Phillip Schofield (ITV)

And it appears this was the particular moment Waterloo Road actor Adam Thomas tuned into the show as he filmed a bit of the segment and posted it to his Instagram Story. "Look at him... there he is! Look at him!" Adam could be heard saying.

"You've made it, Joel. Congratulations mate. Smashing it. Look at him having a laugh with Holly. Go on lad. Looking good bro, looking good," the Manchester actor and TV star added.

Joel then reposted Adam's video and replied with a cheeky message. He said: "I'm glad you tuned in for the erectile dysfunction bit mate. Glad we can help. @adamthomas21."

It came after This Morning viewers were flocking to cast their verdict on Joel stepping in for Phillip on the show. @SLippyLippy tweeted: "@joeldommett is the best thing to happen to #ThisMorning in a very, very long time! He made me laugh out loud more than once!" @loella47_51 said: "I am loving the Joel and Holly vibes, it's working so well! #thismorning."

@JohnKeeno commented: "Joel needs to do this job permanently. # this morning." @21VampSt wrote: "Holly & Joel have been very watchable today Nice vibe Makes a welcome change make it permanent #ThisMorning."
