Joel Cooper is set to become Oxford United's first signing of the summer.
Cooper has agreed to join the EFL League One side from Linfield on a three-year deal when the transfer window opens.
The 24-year-old said he is relishing the move to England where he will link up with former Irish League star Mark Sykes at the Kassam Stadium.
“I’ve seen the way that Oxford help players develop and this feels like a great move for me," Cooper told Oxford's website.
"I want to thank everyone back home, especially everyone at Linfield; it was a big decision to make the move to Oxford but I know I have made the right choice and I can’t wait to get started.”
Cooper joined Linfield two years ago from Glenavon and went on to score 21 goals in 81 appearances for the Blues, lifting the title in successive years.
