Joe Worrall's price tag 'revealed' as Nottingham Forest prepare for Premier League interest

Nottingham Forest defender Joe Worrall continues to be linked with a move away from the club.

The Reds centre-back had a strong season last term at the City Ground, helping the Garibaldi launch a strong case for promotion.

The Nigel Doughty academy graduate featured in all 46 Championship matches last term, and is one of the first names on the team sheet for manager Sabri Lamouchi.

Worrall’s performances have seen him linked several times with a move away from Trentside, with Premier League club Burnley said to be interested.

According to the Daily Mail, Forest value the 23-year-old at around £12m, but that is below what the Clarets are apparently willing to offer.

The report goes on to state that Sean Dyche’s side are only prepared to pay £6m for Worrall’s services, and could therefore look at alternative targets if a deal cannot be reached.

Forest have already let one of their key players go to a top flight club this window, with Matty Cash being sold to Aston Villa in a reported £12m deal which could rise to £16m with add-ons.

The Reds recently brought in 19-year-old central defender Loic Mbe Soh from Paris Saint-Germain, who will be keen to partner Worrall at the heart of the Forest defence.
