Joe Willock says he 'will consider' move to Newcastle United next season

Joe Willock says that Newcastle United are one of his summer options and he is seriously considering the move to Tyneside next season.

The midfielder was greeted by chants of "We want you to stay" throughout the 1-0 win over Sheffield United and then delivered the game-winning moment.

Willock has now scored seven goals for the club with Steve Bruce keen to add him to his squad next season.

When asked by BBC Sport whether he will stay he said: "I'm not sure.

"I need to have a conversation and see what the best move for me is.

"I have made friends for life and made a really big connection with the fans.

"It is is one of my options and I am going to consider it."

Bruce was again asked about his next move on Willock and added: "As I have said before, it's a doubled-edged sword.

"We have to respect he's Arsenal's player.

"If we can, we'd love to bring him here.

"Let's see what we can do because he's exactly what we needed.

"Joe has still got a lot to learn but we have given him a freedom and a licence to get forward. He is a young player enjoying his football."
