Joe Wicks returns with ‘Wake Up with Joe’ workouts for lockdown 2.0

Joe Wicks has announced he’ll be keeping the nation fit throughout lockdown 2.0 with more free online workouts.

The fitness instructor confirmed in a post on Instagram  that he will be offering “Wake up with Joe” sessions three times a week.

“I promised if we went back into a lockdown I would be here to help you get through it and I’m now committing to filming and sharing 3 new workouts a week until lockdown is over how ever long that takes,” he wrote.

The sessions will kick off on on Monday November 9 and go live Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 6am on his YouTube channel.

Unlike his live 9am “PE with Joe” 30-minute sessions the first time round, these will be short (15 minute) pre-recorded “energy and mood boosting workouts to help you stay fit and find some positivity, energy and help with your mental health.”

He says: “I need this just as much as you. Our mental health is suffering but we can get through this lockdown together and come out stronger both physically and mentally [sic]."

In March Joe declared he was to become “the nation’s PE teacher" - his daily HIIT blasts went viral and became a lifeline for many staying home.

The workouts went on to raise £580,000 for the NHS, after he donated all ad revenue from the sessions.
