Joe Wicks launches YouTube PE sessions for kids during lockdown

Joe Wicks has announced he will return with children's PE sessions after the UK was plunged into another full lockdown.

Parents across the country are having to go back to homeschooling five days a week and the Body Coach has revealed he is keen to help out.

During the first lockdown Joe did daily PE sessions for the nation with millions tuning in every day.

This time Joe has signed up to three sessions per week which will be broadcast on his popular YouTube channel.

Posting the announcement to his Facebook page Joe said: "PE with Joe is back. Starting Monday the 11th January at 9am on my YouTube channel.

"I am committing to three live sessions per week: Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 9am(UK time) They will be 20 minutes long and designed for children.

"Please please share this with as many families as you can and let your schools know so they can notify the parents ASAP and we can get as many young children taking part.

"This is so important for our children’s emotional and mental health. Lots of love Joe."

Joe's post quickly went viral with more than 18k shares and 5k comments from people happy to see the Body Coach back.

One said: "You're a friggin' star Joe Wicks! It's such a relief to know this will be back to help structure my son's day. Thank you. Take this in the best way possible but I really hope PE with Joe won't be needed again after this stint!"

Another added: "Joe you are so awesome to be doing this again!!"

"Brilliant! My youngest loved PE with Joe last year! Her school PE lessons are usually Friday mornings so this is perfect!" said another.

"Joe Wicks you are incredible! You give everyone so much despite all of the other things you do. Truly we thank you so much," added a fourth.
