Joe Swash reveals Caroline Flack tribute ahead of Dancing On Ice final

Joe Swash has unveiled a tribute to his friend Caroline Flack ahead of the Dancing On Ice final.

The presenter was devastated by the death of the former Love Island host after the pair grew close when they worked on I'm A Celeb spin-off Extra Camp between 2009 and 2010.

And as he prepares to take on Diversity's Perri Kelly and Paralympian Libby Clegg for the skating showdown on ITV tonight, Joe shared a special poster which has been designed as part of the stage props.

In an Instastory, the 38 year-old panned to a fake sign advertising 'Be Kind Handcream' which is a nod to the two words which have become synonymous with Caroline , who took her own life on February 15.

Just a few months before she passed away, the presenter had pleaded with social media users to "be kind".

The phrase has become prolific across all platforms - and now Caroline's old friend Joe has brought it into reality.

He said: "I asked them (Dancing On Ice) whether they could put the words 'Be Kind' on a poster so what they've done is they've put up this poster and at the top they've put the words 'Be Kind'. Obviously we lost Caroline and we're trying to spread the word, we need everyone to be kinder."

Dad-of-two Joe had a rollercoaster week in the run up to tonight's big finale of Dancing On Ice.

After he caught his ear on partner Alex Murphy's skate while doing a roly-poly move, Joe was taken to hospital to have his ear drained, and had to spend the last few days with a massive bandage on his head in rehearsal.

But he should have the all clear for the big event.

In tonight's finale, the celebrities will first perform routines choreographed by judges and skating icons Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean.

And after one elimination, the remaining two will go on to do a version of the iconic Bolero dance which was made famous by Torvill and Dean at the 1984 Sarajevo Winter Olympics.

Catch Dancing On Ice tonight (Sunday) on ITV at 6pm.
