Joe Swash happy his daughter will be able to attend wedding to Stacey Solomon

Stacey Solomon 's second pregnancy with Joe Swash announced earlier this year put an end to their plans of a summer wedding, but the former Eastenders actor has a positive take on their delayed nuptials.

The happy couple, who are already to parents two-year-old Rex together, were set to tie the knot this summer, on the grounds of their beloved Essex home, sweetly dubbed 'Pickle Cottage'.

However, when the Loose Women presenter revealed she was pregnant with her fourth child in June, the pair's wedding plans had to take a back seat.

Speaking to New magazine, Joe admits it was the "right decision to make" and he's happy his future daughter will be able to attend the ceremony when it does finally happen.

"We were disappointed to have to postpone the wedding, but we're living in really funny times at the moment with coronavirus and the rules changing," the 39-year-old explained.

"We've got so many friends and family we want to be there that we really didn't want to leave out," the I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! star continued.

The reality TV star went on to look at the positive from the postponed wedding, appearing grateful that his unborn child will be able to be a guest when he does exchange vows with Stacey.

"And also, a cherry on top of the cake is that our little girl can be at our wedding now as well," he gushed.

"So it was a shame but it was the right decision to make. We can't wait."

Stacey and Joe have been one of the nation's favourite couples since they first met in Australia back in 2010, as Stacey was crowned Queen of the Jungle on I'm A Celebrity ... Get Me Out Of Here!

Starting out as just good friends after meeting on the reality TV spin-off show hosted by Joe, the pair finally became a couple in early 2016 - with the former Eastenders actor popping the question on Christmas Eve last year.

Prior to announcing her pregnancy, Stacey admitted that the couple's wedding plans had already hit a stumbling block.

"At this rate it will be just me, Joe, my family and the rabbi in the garden - no food, no disco, nothing!" the 31-year-old told Closer magazine in June ahead of their proposed summer wedding.

Earlier this month, Joe opened up about how he and the former X Factor contestant are preparing for Pickle Mansion's newest arrival.

The Essex mansion is already home to two-year-old Rex, as well as Stacey's two children Zachary, 13, and Leighton, nine, from previous relationships. Joe also shares son Harry, 14, with a former partner.

The reality TV star revealed to The Mirror that his unborn daughter's siblings are even trying to help him and Stacey pick a name for their little sister.

"They're ultra excited to have a little sister," he told us last week.

They keep trying to help us and give us name options and stuff like that. They're definitely getting excited about it."
