Joe Swash forgets vital birthday essential for Stacey's 31st and forced to improvise

Stacey Solomon celebrated her 31st birthday with boyfriend Joe Swash and their three children in a rustic "hole in a hill" log cabin.

Former Eastenders star Joe, 38, decked out their £45,000 VW campervan with plants, pumpkins, flowers and of course a cake, before they set off to their surprise destination for the next few nights.

After playing in the waterfalls and making a wish at the money tree, Stacey was presented with a delicious-looking unicorn birthday cake as she turned 31 on 4 October.

But there was one vital item that Joe forgot to bring with him that Stacey was quick to pick up on.

Despite the fact that Joe had purchased the £11 cake from Tesco, it appears he forgot to buy birthday candles at the same time - oops!

So when it came to singing Stacey Happy Birthday, he was forced to improvise and use tea lights instead.

The delicious spread was revealed in a video Stacey shared to her Instagram.

She said: "They got me a Norma cake. Zach's really going for it."

The Madeira sponge cake, which was filled with raspberry jam, was decorated with vanilla frosting, a silver horn, matching eyes and pink and purple piped icing to make the mane of the unicorn, and beside it were a number of cupcakes.

But the tea lights surrounding the treats was what gave Joe away.

Stacey added: "I think Joe may have forgotten birthday candles."

This comes after Stacey accidentally showed fans a little more than she planned as she suffered an awkward wardrobe malfunction during a dance routine.

She took to her Instagram stories to chat with her 3.7 million followers before throwing herself into a freestyle dance worthy of a Broadway play.

But what she didn't realise - until fans pointed it out - was the hole in the crotch of her trousers.

She later laughed at the slip-up on her stories.
