Joe Swash asked 'why' as he's defended by fans after being seen in rare snap with baby daughter

Joe Swash was quickly defended by fans after Stacey Solomon shared a rare snap of him doting on their baby daughter. The loved-up couple, who tied the knot last summer, welcomed their third child together into the world last month.

Stacey, who is already a doting mum to older sons Zachary and Leighton, and Joe, who shares teenage son Harry with his ex-fiancee, announced in December that they were expecting another baby, a younger sibling for three-year-old Rex and one-year-old Rose. They then shocked fans when they revealed that Stacey was already eight months into her pregnancy.

Then in February, just before Valentine's Day, Stacey confirmed that she had given birth to their baby girl, saying the bundle of joy "literally flew" into the world on February 7 at their family home, dubbed Pickle Cottage in a nod to Stacey's nickname, 'Pickle', for her children.

They later confirmed that they had named their new daughter Belle and while Stacey, 33, continues to keep her millions of followers updated on their new live as a family of seven, Joe is usually quieter on social media. However, he did share a snap of himself with his wife and their three young children.

The image showed the quintet chilling at home, with Loose Women star Stacey smiling for the camera from the sofa as she nursed their newborn. Meanwhile, Joe, 41, appeared to be laying on the floor with Rose and Rex, who appeared distracted. The former EastEnders actor simply captioned the post with a world and heart emoji.

But one follower was quick to make an observation as they said: "Why has he got a hat on in the house!!" as another follower replied: "That’s what I thought he always wears it. Lovely family though." However, others were jumping to his defence.

@carolineannkiff said: "He looks like he has just got home or is about to go out." @samjb02 replied: "His choice as it’s his own house." @tracy_alice_lou23 simply typed: "Why not?" @julie.finleyadams echoed: "Why not? His house..his rules." @wendyahogarth joked: "He always has it on. Maybe Stacey had a mishap with her glue gun and he can't take it off!"

Others, however, were gushing over the sweet post. @greekgleam wrote: "You have every reason to be smiling, such a wonderful family you have." @treasuredwordscelebrant commented: "One proud daddy." @no32_ourforeverhome said: "Such a beautiful family - so many precious smiles." @miss_k_16 shared: "Such a lush family."

@mariamills_xox posted: "A very beautiful and I’m sure hectic famalam, love you guys." @mimi.lorraine.71 replied: "How lovely." @moleygunzi typed: "What a lovely little family you have there." @all_things_hinch penned: "Beautiful family love to you all." @androulla.kyriacou.75 added: "Gorgeous beautiful little ones with fabulous parents."

Meanwhile, on Thursday night (March 16), Stacey referred to Belle as 'daddy's girl' as he beamed while doting on his second daughter. The gorgeous black and white photo posted to her Instagram Story showed Joe smiling from ear to ear as his little girl looked up into his eyes.

It came after Joe had to rescue Stacey when she suffered a breastfeeding blunder while at a toddler group with Rose and Belle. The Sort Your Life Out host shared a video to her millions of followers with the caption: "PSA- don't wear a jumper dress if you want to breastfeed with dignity... Luckily Joe met us for the music class so he's outside on lookout duty."

Stacey, laughing over the incident, then told fans: "Now I am sitting outside a toddler dancing class, naked from the boob down because you can't breastfeed in a jumper dress. I don't know what I was thinking, not one brain cell in my head went 'you're not going to be able to feed in that Stace, you can't wear it'.

"I just put it on and thought 'you look really good'. And Bell won't wait. She won't wait until we get home. She was already losing it when we got in the car so I thought I am just going to have to feed her and hope none of the mums come over and look in because the top half I look fine I can wave from the distance, but if they look down all they will see if my hairy legs under the steering wheel."
