Joe Swash confessed he would have separated from Stacey Solomon if it wasn't for their baby Rex.
The TV presenter said things were so strained between the couple he would have probably asked for a break if they didn't have a newborn baby to raise.
In an honest moment, Joe admitted he "resented" his girlfriend and if it hadn't have been for their family things could be different.
The dad confided in his love while they were chatting about their relationship on Stacey's podcast Here We Go Again.
He said: "I did resent you. But it's weird, because in any other situation, I would have probably of gone 'we just need to take some time apart, we need to have a little separation' that's how bad it was.
"I think because it's a baby, it makes everything acceptable. There's a real reason behind it. If it was just a normal, every day, this is how we are feeling.
"Fine, I would have to think about where we were in a relationship. Because we had our baby, our family, it all becomes acceptable."
It may come as a surprise as the family looked very happy together while they were playing at Winter Wonderland.
Stacey and Joe have their son Rex as well as their children from their previous relationships.
She is the mum to Leigh, seven, and Zach, 11, while he is the dad to Harry.
Stacey is always candid about their romance, their family and even their sex life when she joins the panel on Loose Women.
The couple have gone from strength to strength over the years they've been together.
