Joe Schobert’s wife offers a great thank you to Cleveland

You can take Joe Schobert out of Cleveland, but you’ll never take Cleveland out of the Schobert’s.

That much is clear after Joe’s wife, Megan, posted a heartfelt thank you and goodbye to Cleveland on her Instagram on Thursday. Joe Schobert agreed to sign a 5-year, $53.75 million contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars as a free agent this week, signalling the end of the linebacker’s time with the Browns and of living in Cleveland.

The Schobert’s welcomed a baby last week and now get set to relocate to northern Florida. But Megan took time out to thank the city of Cleveland and the fans for making their years with the Browns a rewarding one.

4 years ago I moved to Cleveland fresh out of college. I was just a girl following the love of my life in pursuit of his dream. I didn’t know a single person in a 2 hour radius and my boyfriend was gone working 14+ hour days. Within the first week of living there I contacted a dance studio that was located across from our apartment and asked if they happened to have any openings. To my luck, @ginakoch328 gave me my dream opportunity as a dance teacher and that spiraled into having the blessing of teaching and choreographing for well over a hundred incredible students the past 4 years. And now I’m leaving as a wife and mother. We rescued our dog here. We moved into our first house here. We’ve made so many friends who came and went. I’m leaving my amazing dance family behind who gave me a second home. This city truly changed me and made me into the person I am today and will be forever thankful for that. Thank you Cleveland✌️
