Joe Rogan Pushes Back on U.S. Action Against Venezuela: 'I Don't Think Anybody's Going to Really Support That'

Joe Rogan questioned the Trump administration's posture toward Venezuela and the prospect of military conflict during the latest episode of The Joe Rogan Experience, adding to a series of recent comments in which the podcaster has publicly criticized Trump policy after publicly supporting the him during the 2024 election.

Speaking with comedian Shane Gillis on an episode released Christmas Day, Rogan reacted to discussion about U.S. foreign policy and the possibility of confrontation with Venezuela. Initially expressing confusion, Rogan said he believed the administration had already decided against escalating tensions.

"I thought they decided not to," Rogan said. When Gillis suggested otherwise, Rogan responded that he did not believe such a move would have public backing. "I don't think anybody's going to really support that at all," he said. "It would be a terrible idea."

Gillis added that President Trump appeared unconcerned about criticism, referencing recent actions inside the White House that mocked previous presidents. "Obviously, he doesn't give a f***," Gillis said. Rogan did not dispute the characterization.

Later in the same episode, Rogan criticized plaques installed along a "Presidential Walk of Fame" inside the White House that include derogatory language about former presidents, including Joe Biden, The Hill reported. Reading aloud from Biden's plaque, Rogan objected to Trump's role in authoring the descriptions. "This is so crazy," Rogan said. "You shouldn't be allowed to do this."

Rogan argued that such historical characterizations should be left to historians rather than the sitting president. "Someone needs to tell him, like, 'Hey, this is not good,'" Rogan said, warning that allowing presidents to editorialize could erode the institution of the White House itself.

The comments follow other recent episodes in which Rogan has questioned the Trump administration's immigration enforcement tactics. In November, Rogan criticized the Department of Homeland Security after comedian Theo Von said his voice was used without permission in a deportation-themed government video. Rogan described ICE raids as frightening communities and said he had expected enforcement to focus on violent criminals rather than longtime residents and workers.
