The negotiations for a new collective bargaining agreement have reached the Cincinnati Bengals via Joe Mixon.
Mixon took to social media Thursday and made his stance clear as a no vote, pointing out details such as the substance-abuse policy and 17-game schedule.
According to one report, CBA negotiations stalled extension talks for both Mixon and A.J. Green.
Official ballots went out Thursday with the deadline set for March 12 at 11:59 p.m. ET. Mixon is far from the only player to come out against this iteration, joining big names like Aaron Rodgers, Richard Sherman and Russell Wilson.
Owners have already voted in favor of it, though the NFLPA doesn’t figure to reach a decision this early in the process. NFLPA executive director DeMaurice Smith noted previously he expects it to pass. That requires a simple majority of the 2,000-plus members voting on the 439-page proposal.
