Joe Mixon sends message to Bengals fans after move to injured reserve

Cincinnati Bengals running back Joe Mixon continues to pop up in headlines as his injury absence stretches late into the 2020 season.

Mixon, out since Week 6 with a foot injury, will miss his team’s game against the Washington Football Team in Week 11. The day prior to kickoff, the team announced it moved him to injured reserve.

That sort of move means Mixon can’t make his return until Week 14 at the earliest and would seem to imply a setback at worst, or a readjusted timetable merely due to a nagging foot injury.

Either way, Zac Taylor refused to comment on whether Mixon would play again this season.

After the move to injured reserve went public, Mixon took to social media to send a message to fans — and he’ll surely be supporting his guys on there during games while he recovers:
