It turns out Cincinnati Bengals running back Joe Mixon is battling an illness as his team gets ready to take on the Miami Dolphins in Week 16.
Those Bengals center the entire offense around Mixon, who in the last two weeks alone has rushed for at least 130 yards in both showings. From the sounds of it, he could end up having a limited role against the three-win Dolphins.
Elsewhere in the inactives, John Miller and A.J. Green are the notables out. Based on the sheet, a run-based approach seems to be in order like it was a week ago.
That approach could miss Mixon while the Bengals play with much at stake in draft positioning.
