Joe Maddon and Chicago Cubs went ‘sledding’ at Little League World Series

The Chicago Cubs and Pittsburgh Pirates are at the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania for the third annual MLB Little League Classic. The two NL Central rivals will close their three-game series Sunday night at BB&T Ballpark at Historic Bowman Field.

But that didn’t stop them from having some fun first. The two teams hung out with the Little League players and some fans, and Cubs manager Joe Maddon, first baseman Anthony Rizzo and third baseman Kris Bryant even went sledding. Sort of.

The trio joined in as people slide down a large hill with the help of large pieces of cardboard. And honestly, this looks like an absolute blast.

ESPN — which broadcasts the Little League World Series along with the Cubs-Pirates Sunday Night Baseball game — has the full video.
