Nottingham Forest forward Joe Lolley has sent a message to Chema following his departure from the City Ground.
The 27-year-old left the Reds on Thursday to sign for Spanish club Getafe, for an undisclosed fee believed to be around 2m euros.
Chema joined the Reds on transfer deadline day in the summer, but has now returned to his homeland.
Chema made 10 appearances for Sabri Lamouchi’s team this term, primarily being used at left-back.
He last featured in the 1-1 draw at Reading earlier this month, but was left out of the matchday squad on Tuesday night for the victory at Brentford.
After Chema’s departure was confirmed, Lolley took to his personal Twitter account to say farewell to his former team mate.
“Goodbye Spanish prince,” wrote Lolley, accompanied by a crying emoji.
Following the departure of Jack Robinson for Sheffield United, the Reds opted to bring in further cover for Yuri Ribeiro at left-back.
Gaetan Bong arrived on Thursday in a permanent deal from Brighton & Hove Albion, with Forest have also signed Adama Diakhaby (loan) and Nuno da Costa during this month’s transfer window.
