Outgoing Nottingham Forest winger Joe Lolley has admitted that he is "extremely excited" to be joining A-League side Sydney FC after a transfer to Australia was confirmed on Monday morning.
The 29-year-old becomes the second Reds player to make the move Down Under this summer, with Carl Jenkinson joining Newcastle Jets earlier this summer. They follow in the footsteps of former Forest players Jason Cummings and Zach Clough sealing switches there earlier this year to Central Coast Mariners and Adelaide United respectively.
Familiar faces plying their trade in the country range from Charlie Austin at Brisbane Roar and former Manchester United winger Nani who now calls Melbourne Victory home. Lolley will link up with three-cap England international Jack Rodwell and former Reading forward Adam Le Fondre.

“I’m extremely excited to be joining Sydney FC and to be coming to play in this amazing new stadium in the heart of Sydney,” Lolley told the Sky Blues' official website. “I know there’s a lot of expectation to win every season which is a great challenge, and they’ve got a fantastic plan in place to do that – which really attracted me to make the move.
“I really appreciate the intent shown by the club in bringing me to Sydney. The club expects to win and I’m looking forward to getting on the pitch with the lads this season.”
