Greg Taylor sought the advice of his former teammate, Joe Hart, as he considered his options before leaving Celtic.
The left-back's Parkhead contract expired at the end of last season.
Although manager Brendan Rodgers was keen to keep Taylor around, he eventually decided to move on to pastures new.
He penned a three-year deal at Greek side PAOK on Tuesday, and has since revealed the unseen role Hart played in the move: "Joe Hart’s someone I really trust and I spoke to him quite a bit over the summer, weighed up the decisions," Taylor told Sky Sports.

"He was probably the one I spoke to most. He’d experienced something abroad and spoke really highly of it with a young family. He was one I definitely leaned on."
Hart played "153 times across a three-year spell at Celtic.
He won seven major honours with the club before retiring last summer.
As Taylor will in the coming years, Hart himself played abroad. He made 37 appearances for Torino as he spent the 2016/17 season on loan at the Serie A outfit from Manchester City.
Hart now regularly dabbles in punditry after hanging up his gloves.
