Joe Hart's transfer to Celtic isn't imminent despite fresh links

Celtic are not on the verge of signing Joe Hart despite claims he is close to agreeing a deal.

Neil Lennon is on the look out for a new keeper this summer and the former Man City man is an option if a move for Fraser Forster falls through.

Rumours surfaced online on Wednesday that Hart is set to make his switch to Parkhead by the end of the week.

But the Daily Record claim a deal for the keeper is not imminent. Celtic have held initial talks with Hart, but the club reportedly haven't moved past that stage.

Meanwhile, Ralph Hasenhuttl insists Forster's future, or any other business in the transfer market, will be put on hold until Southampton's season is complete.

He said: "I don’t concentrate so much on the transfer market to be honest.

"I know we have some targets but it is such a busy time, I have to focus on getting a performance from my team and the opponents we are facing.

"It costs a lot of energy at the moment to find the right game plan. You can imagine if you are playing teams like (Manchester) City and United you need a perfect game otherwise you have no chance.

"So there is a lot of preparing, especially with two or three days between games.

"My scouts are giving me some information in the players that are of interest to us, we are busy in the background."
