Joe Hart's first words on Tottenham transfer, Hugo Lloris battle and working with Jose Mourinho

Joe Hart is now officially a Tottenham player after completing his move to the club.

Released by Burnley in the summer after two years at Turf Moor, Jose Mourinho has moved quickly to tie the experienced shot-stopper down to a two-year contract.

Hart, who becomes the club's second signing ahead of the 2020/21 season following the addition of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, will challenge Hugo Lloris and Paulo Gazzaniga for a place between the sticks.

Speaking to Spurs TV about his transfer to the club, the 33-year-old opened up on his move, challenging Lloris and having the chance to work under Mourinho.

Joe Hart to Spurs could be a shrewd piece of business

Hart on his Tottenham move...

"I'm here to help the team in any way I can, be it on the field, off the field, I'm here to try and push the club forward. There's no getting away from it, it has been a difficult couple of years for me personally on the football field but I feel I have so much to give.

"I feel like I have a lot of quality and I obviously have a lot in the bank. I'm here to work as a team player, I always have been and always will be, whether my name is on the teamsheet or not."

Hart on the chance to work with Hugo Lloris...

"It's a squad effort and I know what it takes to win titles, I know what it takes to change a club's dynamic for the better.

"I have huge admiration for Hugo, one of the world's greatest goalkeepers, and I'm genuinely really excited to work with him, excited to push him and excited to learn from him."

Hart on a fresh start...

"I can only look at things positively and I feel like I'm starting again and I quite enjoy that feeling. My body is certainly ready for me to start again.

"I've worked hard and I've tried to grow as a person and tried to grow as a player. I'm ready to push and I'm ready to get back to my levels. I love the idea of European football and I love the two games a week."

Hart on working with Jose Mourinho...

"You can't help but get excited by this club. A tremendous training ground, one of the world's greatest stadiums, some of the best players you can get in football and one of the world's best coaches who has done huge things in the game.

"I've always had a good relationship when playing against him. We've always found a way to come together and discuss the game, and I think we can really work together as a team and as a unit.

"The sky is the limit, it has to be."
