Joe Hart issues Man City Liverpool FC title warning ahead of Burnley test

Burnley shot stopper Joe Hart issued a title warning to his former side Manchester City ahead of their game against the Clarets on Sunday.

Hart made over 260 appearances for Man City winning the Premier League’s Golden Glove award four times in five seasons - but now the English international is focused on his current side’s objectives.

City travel to Turf Moor at the weekend knowing three points takes them closer to beating Liverpool to the title, but according to Hart, it’ll be no easy task.

“There’s not many secrets about what’s coming their way,” warned the keeper on Sky Sports.

Roy Keane explains the key differences between Man City and Manchester United

“The boys are in a good moment. They will come with a lot of energy. Wood and Barnes are playing well up front and causing a lot of headaches.

“That’s the Premier League, it’s hard to win games.

“I’m not going to give anything away about the planning. But the formula is pretty simple.”

Sean Dyche’s Burnley have resurged since Christmas, climbing from 18th in the league to relative safety - beating the likes of Wolves, Spurs and drawing with United on the way.

Hart went on to praise City for their calmness in the 2-0 win over Man United, but insists his Clarets side will be a completely different test.

“There are some moments in the season where you celebrate wins like that but this isn’t a moment.

“They’ve got to come to Burnley on Saturday and my side are playing really well.

“It’s a different type of game.

“They will be playing against a team who will not lie down. It will be very difficult for them.”
