Joe Hart in pointed Celtic 'sit on trebles' warning as he opens up on Parkhead trophy haul expectations

Joe Hart insists Celtic being a group that hasn't tasted trophy success yet is a strength rather than a weeakness.

The Englishman understands that the Hoops fanbase expects success and trophies in the Ange Postecoglou era.

The veteran stopper claims that the hungry group of players could outweigh the experience of previous Parkhead sides that brought quadruple treble success to Glasgow's east end.

The 34-year-old believes the demand of fans acts as a motivator to the current crop of playerss

Speaking to the media, Hart said: "By the sounds of things here, you can't really afford to rest on the fact even if you're sitting on the back of a treble or a double.

"You can't sit on that, and that's great. Sounds like this is the kind of place you celebrate or reflect whichever way it ends and you move on.

"We've got an expecting, great fanbase. I can already see that we work together in that respect."

When asked about his personal expectations, Hart admits that the full picture won't be clear until the end of the Premiership season.

He said: "That's for other people to judge, they know what to expect from Celtic players.

"I can only be me, I can only give 100 per cent like I do.

"I play for the club, I play for the badge and I play for the manager.

"I feel good in the shirt at the moment and I want to continue."

The former Manchester City keeper also had high praise for Zander Clark, who will between the opposite posts at Celtic Park on Saturday.

"We're going to have a tough game against him, he's in a good vein of form after the domestic trophy wins last season," he said.

"I know that to get into the Scotland team there's some strong keepers, plenty of people vying for that number one and probably feel like they're very close to it and he [Clark] is certainly one of them."
