Joe Hart has a Rangers laugh as keeper admits he 'didn't know what he was getting into' at Celtic

Joe Hart reckons there is only one team Celtic fans are "disrespectful" about as he took a thinly veiled shot at Rangers.

Since arriving in the summer from Tottenham, Hart has become a fan favourite as he claimed the Parkhead No.1 jersey.

He produced some eye-catching saves in the Premier Sports Cup win over Hibs as he grabbed his first piece of silverware since arriving north of the border.

Speaking on his talkSPORT morning show, he was asked about his reception from fans so far.

When asked by Jim White if the Parkhead support had told him that he was now playing for the biggest club of his career, Hart l aughed: "I feel at the moment they don't really need to sell themselves.

"That is for other people to argue.

"From what I'm getting from a true Celtic fan, they don't really talk about anyone else. They are not particularly disrespectful about any other teams, apart from the obvious!

"When it comes to their club they live, they breath and are proud to be Celtic.

"Everyone else, great, go and do your thing. (There has been) A lot of nods towards what went on at Manchester City, but they are not particularly bothered about anyone else."

The former England first-choice shot-stopper concedes he didn't realise what he was getting himself into when he first arrived in Glasgow.

When discussing advice he received before signing for Celtic, Hart added: "The common message is you don't know what you are getting yourself into until you are up there, and that's so true.

"I don't say that because I want to impress anyone. I'm not particularly bothered whether people believe me or not, because it is something you have to experience.

"When you do, it's special and it's a great place to be and I'm enjoying it."
