Joe Hart drops major Tottenham transfer hint in social media post

Tottenham are closing in on their second signing of the transfer window, with former England international Joe Hart set to complete a move to north London.

Jose Mourinho's side has already been bolstered by the capture of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg from Southampton, who will provide a significant boost to the midfield.

Hart's role is slightly different as the former Manchester City stopper, who is a free agent following his release from Burnley, is arriving as understudy to Hugo Lloris.

Spurs are in the hunt for a back-up stopper following Michel Vorm's exit and Hart fits the bit, though he could have a higher significance due to the fixture congestion Mourinho's side face at the start of the 2020/21 campaign.

Arsenal's FA Cup victory means that Spurs will enter the Europa League at the qualifying rounds, while the Carabao Cup restructure also means that September is going to be a very busy month.

Lloris is unlikely to play in all of those matches, along with the Premier League games, so Hart could be making his debut sooner rather than later.

For now, fans are eagerly awaiting an official announcement but it appears that it will not be too far away as Hart has dropped a major hint towards an imminent move.

Posting on the story of his Instagram account, Hart is pictured in front of a mirror wearing a white shirt with text attached that reads: "Big day".

That suggests that Hart will put pen to paper on his deal with Spurs today, which may potentially be followed by an official announcement of the move.
