Joe Hart shared a message on social media after making his first appearance as a Tottenham Hotspur player.
The former Manchester City goalkeeper made his debut as Spurs began their preparations for the 2020/21 season by taking on League One side Ipswich Town at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday.
Jose Mourinho’s side wrapped up victory within half an hour as Son Heung-min’s double after Ryan Sessegnon’s sixth minute opener saw them record a 3-0 win, and make the perfect start ahead of the kick-off in the new campaign.
Hart was one of three players to be handed their first Spurs appearance, with Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg also starting after making the move from Southampton, while Jack Clarke came off the bench after making the move from Leeds last summer.
And having made his first appearance, Hart gave his reaction on Instagram, writing “Great to be out there”.
Hart came on as a second half substitute to replace Hugo Lloris, although his first appearance was a short one as he played just under half an hour before being replaced himself by fellow goalkeeper Paulo Gazzaniga.
Hart is likely to fight it out with the Argentine to act as Lloris’ deputy this season, and it’s honours even after the first run-out of the summer as both kept clean sheets.
Hart will be eager to rediscover his best form at Spurs, having made the move to north London as a free agent after being released by Burnley.
The former England number one has struggled over the past few seasons, and found himself on the periphery at Turf Moor following loans with Torino and West Ham.
