Joe Hart Celtic revival laid bare as Ange Postecoglou does what Pep Guardiola couldn't

Celtic keeper Joe Hart is well on his way to showing manager Ange Postecoglou that he can play with his feet.

That comes after one famous gaffer told him that he couldn't.

The Englishman was Manchester City' s number one stopper until the arrival of Pep Guardiola, who told the keeper he was not able to work in his system of playing out from the back.

Despite this, Postecoglou has implemented a similar style at Celtic, and the stats don't lie when it comes to the keeper's ability with his feet.

Up until at least September 24, Hart had the best pass success rate in the entire Scottish Premiership, which is now at 90%.

The 34-year-old showed his skills in the Hoops' 2-0 victory against Motherwell on Saturday, as early on in the game he was pressured into some quick thinking in the box by oncoming well attacker Jordan Roberts.

Hart has also kept four clean sheets this season in the Premiership after eight games.

Speaking previously about Postecoglou, Hart said: “I love the fact that I’m learning a new style.

“Yes it’s a different way of playing to maybe how other teams are doing things but we have got a top coach with a good coaching team behind him who also believe in what they’re doing. It’s why we play football. Personally I love it.

“I’ll be honest, I didn’t know if I could play it. But I feel comfortable in it and feel I’m representing myself well."
