Joe Hart admits Man City will miss Kevin De Bruyne against Manchester United

Former Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart has admitted that the absence of Kevin De Bruyne from the clash against Manchester United is huge.

The Belgium international was forced off through injury during the 1-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League on Saturday and there are concerns that he could miss the remainder of the season.

It continues what has been a tough season for the 27-year-old, who has had to battle a number of injury problems this term.

City remain firm favourites for the clash against United at Old Trafford despite De Bruyne ’s absence but Hart admits he will be a big miss.

“It’s huge. Kevin is a magnificent player. He needs maybe half or a full game to get himself fit again because he’s struggled with injuries,” he told Sky Sports.

Ex-Liverpool FC star warns 'experimental' Manchester United side could cause Man City problems

“I thought Gundogan played really well in the recent Spurs Champions League game. They wheel Vinnie [Kompany] out for the big games, but there are threats everywhere. They’re so strong.”

City can move top of the Premier League with victory and have their Premier League title fate in their own hands heading into the closing weeks of the season.
