Joe Gelhardt's sharpness, Raphinha skills and defensive duo spotted in Leeds United training

Leeds United travel to the Midlands today to face Wolverhampton Wanderers as they look to avenge the 1-0 defeat at Elland Road earlier this season.

The Under-23s are in Norfolk, taking on Norwich City as they look to maintain their 10-point lead atop the Premier League 2 Division 2 standings.

It is expected that the 23s will field a young side, punctuated by many of the U18 players given the fixture clash.

Further insight into who will be travelling to Molineux with the first team squad has been revealed in the latest Leeds United training video.

Along with Charlie Cresswell and Niall Huggins, Joe Gelhardt was one of a handful of 23s pictured, racing onto a through ball in what appeared to be finishing practice.

Marcelo Bielsa on Diego Llorente

Marcelo Bielsa commended Gelhardt's recent performances - many of which he has witnessed first-hand at Thorp Arch.

"He’s a player that always creates danger in a game. He’s a player who’s more linked with the finalising of chances rather than the creation of them. He has resources to beat an opponent and he has a final shot, a finish that is very good."

It was that final shot on display midway through the video posted on Leeds United's official YouTube account, striking across the goalkeeper after displaying his rapid feet chasing onto the ball.

Raphinha was another player taking part in the finishing drills but it was his trickery in some keep-ball rondo exercises which had his Leeds teammates whooping and cawing.

Under pressure from man in the middle Niall Huggins, Raphinha appeared to drag the ball around in a circular motion with his boot on the outside of the circle, before sliding it past Huggins and through Charlie Cresswell's legs.

There were plenty of appearances for Diego Llorente and Gaetano Berardi in this week's video too as the pair ramp up their return to full fitness.

Llorente is in contention for a return this week although it seems likely he will be eased back in gently, while Berardi has been earmarked for U23s involvement before making his first-team comeback.
