Things will likely be different when the Chargers face the Broncos next year. Wednesday morning Denver traded for former Baltimore QB Joe Flacco.
Chargers hands know first hand that Denver has struggled to say the least at the QB position since Peyton Manning left. Shoot, he wasn’t exactly carrying the team his last go round, either. Denver will send a mid-round pick to Baltimore.
This is tricky as Case Keenum is carrying about $10 million in dead salary cap. Who is going to trade for that? Will Denver just eat that money? There are so many questions about this decision. A lot of them may not have answers.
Chargers fans should feel good knowing that Flacco isn’t going to lead Denver to a divisional title any time soon. He was benched for a reason. He’s streaky at best. Those days seem long ago. How do you feel about this? Happy? Worried?
