Joe Flacco ripped his coaches after the Broncos’ loss to the Colts

The Denver Broncos could only muster 279 total yards in Sunday’s loss to the Colts, and the frustrations are starting to boil over with quarterback Joe Flacco.

Speaking to reporters after the 15-13 loss on Sunday, which came courtesy of an Adam Vinatieri field goal, Flacco didn’t shy away from criticizing head coach Vic Fangio and offensive coordinator Rich Scangarello for their timid play-calling and coaching in the loss.

Specifically, the Broncos elected to punt on 4th and 5 from the Colts’ 43-yard line with 1:48 remaining in the game. With the Broncos up by a point at the time, a first down would have locked up the win. The Broncos instead punted and couldn’t keep the Colts from driving into field-goal range.

While the Broncos won’t want to hear their starting quarterback publicly throwing the coaching staff under the bus, Flacco did have a point.

The Broncos only needed five yards to win the game, but when you play not-to-lose, you get that 2-6 record.
