Joe Exotic says Carole Baskin is hated by 'half of America' so doesn't need hitman

Tiger King 's Joe Exotic allegedly still holds a grudge against Carole Baskin but believes the Netflix show has done him a favour.

The tiger handler - whose real name is Joseph Maldonado-Passage - is believed to have told prison pals that he didn't need to hire a hitman because 'half of America' is now against Carole.

According to a source from the Federal Medical Centre Fort Worth speaking to The Daily Star, Joe, 57, believes that Carole, 58, will get her comeuppance.

“He believes he will come out of prison victorious and that he didn’t even need to hire a hitman to knock her off because ‘half of America’ wanted to get her after watching the series," the insider explained.

"Joe just doesn't know when to shut up and claimed he wasn't actually saying HE would kill her - simply pointing out that the public had sided with him so she should watch her back."

The source continues: “But he was given a stern warning and he’s lost some privileges and all his outgoing mail will be assessed and checked before it’s allowed to leave the facility.”

Joe is currently serving 22 years in a federal prison after being found guilty of a murder-for-hire plot of the animal rights activist.

Their bitter rivalry was the central story within the dramatic series.

During the show, which remains a number one hit on both sides of the Atlantic since its release, it was implied that Carole was involved with her second husband's dissappearance.

The animal activist has since explained she has received death threats and slammed the Netflix series for her portayal.
