Joe Cole highlights Jorginho's main weakness in Chelsea's defeat against Bayern Munich

Joe Cole has highlighted where he believes Jorginho struggles in games after Chelsea's defeat to Bayern Munich in the Champions League.

Bayern will head back to the Allianz Arena with a 3-0 lead over the Blues after Serge Gnabry scored twice, while Robert Lewandowski got one and set up two at Stamford Bridge.

The goals were Gnabry's fifth and sixth of the Champions League campaign this season after he scored four during his side's 7-2 win over Tottenham Hotspur back in October.

Frank Lampard’s side will also be without the suspended Jorginho and Marcos Alonso for the second leg in Munich, after the Italian picked up a booking in the first half and Alonso was given his marching orders in the closing stages.

And Cole, speaking after the game, believes the former Napoli man gets exposed in games when things around him get too physical.

“Frank talked about the final third and the choice of pass. I think the midfield as well,” the former Blues star told BT Sport post-match.

“I thought Jorginho struggled tonight when it got a bit physical around him. He was getting run off.

“I think Jorginho is a great player, a fantastic talent. But when it gets a bit hairy he can miss out a bit.”
