Joe Burrow wanted to be on cover of newly revived NCAA Football video game

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow always wanted to be on the cover of a college football game.

Tuesday, EA Sports announced it was working on the return of its famous college football video game after a lengthy hiatus.

Burrow had the expected reaction to such news: “All I ever wanted was to be on the cover of this game and as soon as I graduate they bring it back.”

The No. 1 pick would’ve been the easy choice for the cover after his record-setting season for LSU in which he sprinted to a national title and droves of individual awards.

Our suggestion? Burrow should lobby for a greatest hits cover for the first game back in the series, placing him alongside other deserving names who would’ve made covers while the game wasn’t releasing:

Given development cycles, the first game in the revived series probably won’t be for a few years, so Burrow has plenty of time to make his case.
