Joe Burrow, Tyler Boyd headline first Bengals injury report of season

It’s nothing but good news for the Cincinnati Bengals on the first injury report of the 2023 season as they prep to take on the Cleveland Browns in the opener.

Most notable was quarterback Joe Burrow classifying as a full participant on the report after head coach Zac Taylor told the media this is a “day-to-day” situation. Burrow had hit the podium for a media session before the report came out and made it clear he expects to play against the Browns.

Taylor said the same thing about defensive end Joseph Ossai, who gets a “DNP” designation. But his injury timetable suggests he could be back as early as next week, if not Week 3.

The full injury report for the Bengals:

  • DE Joseph Ossai DNP
  • QB Joe Burrow FP (Calf)
  • OT D’Ante Smith FP (Shoulder)
  • WR Tyler Boyd FP (Toe)
