Joe Burrow suggested as best QB in the AFC North by one analyst

Is Joe Burrow the best quarterback in the AFC North?

The Cincinnati Bengals passer heading into his sophomore year has some stiff competition in that regard. Even with Ben Roethlisberger of the Pittsburgh Steelers fading, he’s got to compete with Lamar Jackson of the Baltimore Ravens and Baker Mayfield of the Cleveland Browns.

Ask former player and current analyst Greg Jennings? It is still Burrow’s division, as he said on a recent “First Things First” episode:

“When I look in this division – and I’m upper management – I see the Bengals, who were in last place and they have arguably the best quarterback in that division in Joe Burrow when healthy. And then you have a unanimous MVP in Baltimore … and then you have Baker Mayfield, who is on the resurgence, and he’s progressing his team … and then you have Big Ben, who has regressed. And he has not only regressed, he regressed at the most inopportune time.”

It’s quite true the Steelers are in a tough spot with Big Ben right now. But the quarterback debate is perhaps more interesting than most other divisions because Burrow did so well with so little around him.

Rest assured Burrow will have plenty of chances to prove Jennings right in 2021. He continues to target a Week 1 return and just popped up in some training photos making the rounds.
