Joe Burrow shines, Jordan Love struggles as LSU dominates Utah State

It was billed as a matchup between two potential first-round quarterbacks, but only one of them lived up to the hype.

LSU’s Joe Burrow tossed five touchdown passes for the Tigers in a 42-6 blowout win over Utah State, while Aggies quarterback Jordan Love struggled against the toughest defense he’s faced all season.

Love completed just 15 of his 30 pass attempts for 130 yards, three interceptions and no touchdowns, while Burrow went 27-for-38 for 344 yards as the Bayou Bengals remained unbeaten on the year.

LSU wide receiver Justin Jefferson strengthened his own draft stock, hauling in nine passes for 155 yards and a pair of touchdowns from Burrow.

Love is still a popular sleeper pick for next year’s quarterback class, but he’ll have to bounce back in a big way after disappointing against a defense filled with NFL talent.
