Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow has some wise — and funny — words for Pittsburgh Steelers safety Minkah Fitzpatrick.
Fitzpatrick continues to recover from an appendectomy that held him out of the Steelers game over the weekend and his status for Sunday against the Bengals remains up in the air, as he was reported likely out before Mike Tomlin said otherwise.
Asked Wednesday about any advice he would offer Fitzpatrick given his own battle with appendix surgery recently, Burrow threw out a joke (and one that might just have some point to it, too).

Burrow’s recovery during training camp was worse than initially reported, as he suffered a ruptured appendix and spent multiple days in the hospital before trying to put weight back on his frame.
With any luck, Fitzpatrick’s recovery won’t resemble anything like that, even if Burrow and Co. wouldn’t mind his missing Sunday’s AFC North showdown.
