Joe Burrow issues heartfelt statement after Bengals’ march

The Cincinnati Bengals spent their off day Saturday doing something special.

Joe Burrow and the Bengals marched to the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center, then center Trey Hopkins and Burrow delivered a statement on racial discrimination and injustices in the country.

Burrow then took to social media to offer a brief message, commenting above a video of the special moment.

The message was short and sweet, though one everyone surely understands now: “Happy I get to be part of this organization with these great people”

It was an important moment on a country-wide scale as the Bengals became the latest pro team across many leagues to offer such a statement and commit to helping change. And at an organizational level, it was good to see all players, coaches and even Mike Brown on the March.

Clearly, this is a close-knit locker room capable of rallying around important causes.
