Joe Burrow hints at status of injury comeback journey on social media

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow isn’t a stranger to the Joe Mixon method of social media.

Said method includes dropping vague messages that may or may not hint at something. Either way, messaging from Burrow tends to make waves because it doesn’t happen often and right now he’s rehabbing his reconstructed knee.

Monday, Burrow hit Instagram with a brief “coming soon” message topped off with a photo of him running. Bengals fans should feel free to take it as an encouraging sign because the former No. 1 pick was expected to get clearance to start running again in mid-February.

Burrow has continually suggested he’s ahead of schedule and wants to start in Week 1 next season. Bengals athletic trainer Paul Sparling hasn’t seen any reason to doubt Burrow.

While the Bengals and Burrow haven’t said anything official yet, Burrow has been at Paul Brown Stadium undergoing the next stage of his rehab for a few weeks now. If the post is any indication, he’s about to take another step in the journey.
