Joe Buck, Troy Aikman headline broadcast options for Saints vs. Vikings

Fans won’t lack for variety in watching Friday’s national broadcast of the New Orleans Saints’ game with the Minnesota Vikings. The NFL announced its coverage teams for the big-time Christmas Day matchup, with Fox Sports assigning veteran commentators Joe Buck and Troy Aikman to the booth with Erin Andrews and Kristina Pink reporting from the sidelines.

But they won’t be the only ones calling the game. Amazon Prime viewers have two options, with Hannah Storm and Andrew Kremer on one stream and another featuring Bucky Brooks, Daniel Jeremiah, and Joy Taylor on a new “Scout’s Feed.”

Additionally, viewers can tune in for a Spanish-language broadcast on FOX Desportes with Jessi Losada, Adrian Garcia-Marquez, Rolando Cantu, and Jaime Motta. The game will also be covered on radio by Westwood One and SiriusXM.

This Saints-Vikings kickoff is the only NFL game to be played on Christmas Day this year, and just the fourth matchup scheduled for the holiday since 2011. 2017 had a double-header with a Steelers-Texans game followed by Raiders-Eagles, as did 2016 with Ravens-Steelers and Broncos-Chiefs.

The Vikings last played on Christmas Day in 2005 (losing 30-23 to the Ravens), while the Saints have never taken the field on Dec. 25 (though they did beat the Dallas Cowboys 31-24 on Christmas Eve back in 1999). Wherever you’ll be watching, this year’s Saints-Vikings game is scheduled for kickoff at 3:30 p.m. CT.
