Fox announcer Joe Buck is one of the more divisive figures in sports broadcasting.
For whatever reason, he’s hated by plenty of fans — some call him biased, others just don’t like him. But as our Andy Nesbitt pointed out, Joe Buck is actually good.
And his response to an Astros fan’s “Joe Buck Sucks!” T-shirt is further proof that Joe Buck is, in fact, good.
Baseball fans noticed immediately when an Astros fan seated in the first row at Yankee Stadium pulled up his jacket during Game 5 of the ALCS to reveal a “Joe Buck Sucks!” shirt. He was promptly asked to cover the shirt up, but we all saw it.
Well, Buck has always been one to make fun of himself, and he didn’t disappoint this time around either. On Monday, Buck took to Twitter and asked where his “friend” — ahem — could get one of those shirts.
Well played, Joe.
If that shirt makes an appearance during the World Series, let’s hope Buck points it out. That would be epic.
