Joe Biden: SNL tackles unwanted touching allegations with skit starring Jason Sudeikis

Saturday Night Lives cold open tackled the allegations of sexual misconduct surrounding former Vice President Joe Biden.

Former cast member Jason Sudeikis made a return to play Biden, one of the most memorable characters from his stint on the show, in a sketch that sees him undergo sensitivity training.

At least four women have recently come forward to accuse Biden of unwanted physical contact.

Lucy Flores, a Democrat who served in the Nevada state assembly, former congressional aide Amy Lappos, Caitlyn Caruso and DJ Hill all said he either touched them or hugged them in a way that made them uncomfortable.

In the sketch, Sudeikis’s Biden says: “I’m a hugger, I’m a kisser and a little bit of a sniffer. But the last thing I want to do is offend anyone.”

A consultant, played by Kate McKinnon, is brought in to counsel Biden on his behaviour, but he immediately greets her by pressing their noses together.

“Yeah, so this is exactly the kind of thing I’m here to prevent,” McKinnon’s character responds.

After telling Biden that both tickling a woman’s palm during a handshake and recreating the Dirty Dancing lift are inappropriate greetings, McKinnon’s character decides to bring in some undecided voters to help test him. It does not go well.
