Joe Biden's Edinburgh hotel stay 'doesn't go to plan' with last minute change added

President Joe Biden has been seen leaving an Edinburgh hotel for Glasgow this morning.

President Biden has been staying at Dalmahoy House in Kirknewton while he attends The United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP26) and joins world leaders and delegates to discuss the climate emergency.

He has been escorted by a fleet of motorcades, with around 20 being cars being counted and have a thumbs up to the press and on-lookers.

Bauer Media reports that the motorcades are expected to expand 'rapidly to around 40' to transport the President 42 miles between the cities for the climate change conference, COP26.

However, Biden's trip to Scotland is 'not going to plan', according to Bauer Media as the White House was originally planning to fly the President by helicopter from the Dalmahoy Hotel to Glasgow.

But cars were chosen instead due to concerns about weather conditions and the aircraft sinking into the damp ground on the estate.

Edinburgh recently saw heavy rain that caused localised flooding last week and strong winds are expected to descend on the west of Scotland.

President Biden arrived in Edinburgh Airport yesterday on the Air Force One jet and travelled straight from the airport to Glasgow's SECC via the M8 with his motorcade where he joined the likes of Boris Johnson and Sir David Attenborough for the opening talks of the conference.

Biden has been criticised for travelling between Edinburgh and Glasgow everyday with his large fleet of non-electric vehicles while attending a climate change conference.

All eyes will be on Glasgow as 140 world leaders and 25,000 delegates have come together to attempt to come up with a plan to battle the ever warming planet.
