Joe Biden's bulletproof limo 'the beast' pulls up at Edinburgh petrol station shocking locals

Joe Biden's presidential limo has been spotted filling up at an Edinburgh petrol station.

The US leader touched down in the capital this week on Air Force One as the world's eyes turned to Glasgow's Cop26 climate change conference- and delivered a keynote speech yesterday.

But Edinburgh Live reports that the president will be staying in Edinburgh during his stay, with his bullet-proof limo needing to be refuelled at the station.

A massive 20-car motorcade was seen on heading from the airport through to Glasgow on Monday, locals were shocked to see the president’s car, known as the Beast, later parked up at a BP Sighthill petrol station.

Biden has come under fire for the irony of his massive 20 vehicle entourage travelling to a climate change conference.

President Biden is said to be staying at the Dalmahoy hotel on the outskirts of the city, which is surrounded by a large golf course and has close transport links to both Glasgow and Edinburgh Airport.

One insider told Edinburgh Live how the wine cellar, which usually holds hundreds of top-end bottles, has been temporarily converted into a makeshift nerve centre allowing agents to monitor activity in the grounds and surrounding areas.
